The new Ref. 15510ST continues to retain the original design of 1972, but a lot of fine-tuning designs have been added to the case, dial and strap, mainly increasing the upper and lower bevels of the case, so that the overall proportion can be achieved better! On the other hand, the hand-made satin polishing of the watch has also been enhanced, and the light and shadow effect that complements the bright polishing is even stronger.
The lettering is still the unique square pattern, and the 24K gold three-dimensional “Audemars Piguet” logo at the 12 o’clock position is made by electroplating generation (similar to 3D printing), replacing the previous three-dimensional “AP” logo and printed Audemars Piguet.
The movement’s 22K rose gold exclusive rotor also has the words “50th Anniversary”. This rotor uses hollowing techniques to present the 50th anniversary logo and Audemars Piguet logo engraving, and is satin-finished and brightly polished like the case! The watch has also integrated the bottom cover into the case, making it comfortable to wear and more suitable for the curvature of the wrist. The strap has also been redesigned, with the first four links changed from parallelograms to trapezoids, and the width of the strap gradually decreasing, making the lines more streamlined, and all links are thinner, making it lighter when worn!
